Return (there were no trumpets)
Wednesday, August 5th, 2009Back from probably the best holiday of my life. Takes one hell of a roadtrip to make San Diego Comic Con seem like just the thing between roadtrips! We did Niagara Falls, Mesa Verde, the Grand Canyon, Vegas, Yellowstone, saw the biggest fake prairie dog in the world and ate our body weight in Oreos.
We really took it to the next level, which would of course not have been possible had I not been travelling with awesome people so thanks to Dan, Kirsty and Nicole for being those people, for doing all of the driving, and especially to Kirsty for organisational goodness.
If I and 3 Mobile get our act simultaneously together then there will hopefully be some holiday-based Martins for your viewing pleasure. I took a lot of photos of feet at Comic Con for the purpose, and am pretty sure I am on some sort of special register for foot-voyeurs in America now so the parents of children with feet can camp outside my house and shout at me.
England is comfortingly grey, and wearing socks again is strange. I feel a bit like the guy in Life on Mars when he wakes up and is just like ‘Oh.’ I do not, however, plan to throw myself off any tall buildings just yet, so you can look forward to more Martiny goodness, and heavier use of this blog provided I have anything interesting to write.
