I went to Europe, and I learned to say things in foreign languages for which I will have no use.
Here is a comic! See you Monday.

Now, a lot of you I know are my mates, and therefore probably know about this already, but I’m going to go through it again and SO HELP ME you can’t do anything about it.
In the first week of May, me and my friend Liz are embarking on walk from coast-to-coast across the UK, following Hadrian’s Wall. Now obviously it’s going to be a lot of fun and everything, and I plan on finding myself a very fine stick and so on.

HOWEVER it’s not just for fun. We’re asking for sponsorship for the Alzheimer’s Society. Alzheimer’s is about one of the worst things to watch someone suffer from, and about one of the hardest things for their family to have to deal with. I’ve seen it first hand, and it just about makes me want to tear the world apart.
The Alzheimer’s Society do things like day centres, so carers get a break, and advice and support for people. They also plough money into research, so in the future this won’t have to happen to people.

The internet is a wonderful thing! Nowadays, rather than us having to chase you around with a sponsorship form and stand over you while you try to decide what would be a generous but not painful amount while my eyes bore into the back of your neck, you can just go to http://www.justgiving.com/short-way-across and donate online!
The money goes right to the charity without passing through our grubby little hands. If you’re in the UK and pay tax, don’t forget to Gift Aid – it’s not an insignificant proportion of the money, as you’ll see from the donations already up there. You can donate anonymously, of course, and as much or as little as you like!
Do it, do it now.
The Utahraptor, regrettably, is not accompanying us on the trip.
